COLLECTIVE POWER

DERIVING STRENGTH FROM DIVERSITY

EXPLORING IDEAS AND ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES

Our inspirational and experiential ABCD  2 day workshop designed and facilitated by Gary, who in 2011 came across the approach when he worked as Heed of Community Building at a Manchester charity. He created the first UK's Asset Based Community Building team who worked across Greater Manchester Communities.

He has since facilitated numerous ABCD programmes around the UK and worked organisations such as; The National Lottery Community Fund, Metro Housing, Blackburn and Darwin Health Forum, Camden Council and Manchester City Council.

ABCD

"We can do this. I get what Our Manchester and the asset based approach means now.”.

"I recognised my own community and my role in it, looking for opportunities to share my skills and knowledge. I attended a Community Soup, got to know the organisers and I am now regularly involved as a volunteer.

This has been a genuine transformative experience, opening my eyes to the huge amount of 'good stuff' happening in my community."
